The International College of Angiology is pleased to announce a new program to benefit our members. This program is called the

“LIABILITY HOTLINE”

This program is designed to automatically provide a college member to review any actions brought against our membership. A call by the member or his or his hospital’s attorneys to Denise M. Rossignol, Executive Director, will automatically trigger a process to identify members with expertise in the appropriate field. The college, by virtue of its multi-disciplinary nature, can provide authoritative reviews in the fields of:

• Vascular surgery
• Cardiac surgery
• Interventional radiology
• Cardiology.

This HOTLINE process will put you or your legal team in touch with a pertinent expert witness to review your case, without difficulty or embarrassment on your part.

It is anticipated that this new feature of the International College of Angiology will represent an important addition to our member services.

Medical liability is one of the most vexing issues facing our membership today. This program is intended to alleviate the anxieties and difficulties inherent in the process of identifying appropriate experts to review members’ cases.

The medical liability crisis affects all practitioners in our country. We hope that this new program will provide a measure of comfort in the knowledge that the International College of Angiology is engaged with its members in this process.
